Basic Protein Oatmeal
Convivial ยท Sid
This oatmeal is a staple for anyone who enjoys oatmeal, eating healthy, and staying full throughout the morning. My junior year of college I would make this every morning without fail, and I still make it a minimum of three times a week.
It's delicious, nutritious, and consistent, so if you like to have a routine that stays the same, this is for you. I don't know how to explain it, but this oatmeal starts off my day right and leaves me knowing that today will be a good day.

In a glass container or bowl (I use a 2-cup Pyrex container), add the oats, water, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt. Stir together, and microwave for 2 minutes, stirring after 1.30 minutes, and keeping an eye on it to make sure it doesn't bubble up and spill out.

Remove from the microwave, and there should still be some liquid that hasn't gotten absorbed yet, just mix it for 20-30 seconds and let it sit for a few minutes.

Once the oatmeal base is thick enough to your liking, I like it on the thinner side so I might add more water if it's too thick, add the flaxseed meal and protein powder. Mix until well combined.

That's it! Feel free to add any toppings, I have a whole list of recipes that have toppings and their calories and macros.
